The Kasim Mingle’s era at Nations continues to wobble as the newbies have won just one of their three (with an outstanding match at hand) matches this season and posted a draw result of the campaign, splitting the points with Legon Cities at Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.

There was not much pressure on both side’s heading into this match as they both secured victories in their last Ghana Premier League outing.

Nations FC had won their last game, a 2-0 win against Samartex, whereas Legon Cities nailed Dormaa Aduana Stars 2:1, and they couldn’t afford to drop points in front of their charged Abrankese fans.

Legon Cities midfielder Joseph Mereku opened the scoring for the Royals in the 5th minute mark.

However, Nations FC responded well by levelling things up through young midfielder - Berimah Baah just 48 minutes after Mereku had fired the visitors ahead.

The intensity of the match shifted to another dimension during the latter embers, with both sides trying to bag a last-gasp exclamation point with a goal, but both defensive pecking completely held each other at bay.

Coach Mingle’s men are now 10th with four points on the league table whilst Paa Kwasi Fabin’s samba Royals have climbed to the second spot with 7 points, making a strong statement they’re in for a raw deal this term as the league gets hotter each passing week.
