Ronald Frimpong scored a brace against his former club, Real Tamale United (RTU), when they faced Bibiani Goldstars in the Ghana Premier League match-week four game at the Dun's Park.

Bibiani Goldstars recorded their second victory of the 2023/24 season after defeating Real Tamale United 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.

 

The Miners, who succumbed to an away defeat to Great Olympics last weekend exhibited a five-star performance against RTU to return to winning ways as the league goes on break for international football.

 

Four minute into the half-hour mark, two-goal hero Ronald Frimpong broke the deadlock with a brilliant strike before Appiah McCarthy doubled for Bibiani Goldstars from a close range in the 35th minute of the game.

 

Real Tamale United were placed under an intensive pressure at the Dun's Park by Bibiani Goldstars with several fearsome attacks launched to run riot before the break.

 

The back line of the visitors stood resolute from the deadly upfront of Bibiani Goldstars not to concede again as the first half ended in a 2-0 win for the host.

 

Bibiani Goldstars' sweet win was sealed by Frimpong with another thunderbolt effort in the 80th minute of the game.

 

Following the victory, Bibiani Goldstars have moved to 5th position with six points while Real Tamale United drops to the relegation zone with four points after match-week four.
