Emmanuel Annor came off the bench to score at the death to spurs Bechem United to a crucial 1-0 win over Dreams FC at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in GPL match-week 24.
Kasim Mingle maintained most of the players that started in their last game including the attacking trio of Avornyo, Konkoni and Duodu with Seth Kwadwo returning in the line up.
On the opposition side, they started the game without marksman Agyenim Boateng Mensah but Simba Sylvester astonishingly made the cut despite being with the Black Meteors in Kumasi last Tuesday
It was really an explosive start for both sides who took the game at each other, firing from all cylinders in search for an early goal- looks like they all had one approach at the start.
The visitors nearly stole it at half time after Ishmael Dede picked up a pass from Boah to hit a strong one but was collected calmly by Japheth Norvienyo.
In the second half, the 'Still Believe' lads bounced back well after skipper Abdul Jalilu played Collins Boah with a beautiful mirror pass but the latter's effort went close but couldn't find the net.
The Hunters from then took complete charge of the game, dictated the pace and pattern and dominated in all aspects but really has problem with penetrating the opposition backline.
Just and when many a football faithful thought the game was ending in a draw, substitute Emmanuel Annor scored with a fine strike to win it for Bechem United in the dying embers.
It finished 1-0 after full time. Kasim Mingle and his charges have now leapfrogged Accra Lions to the second position with 41 points.
