Bechem United travelled down south to beat struggling cellar dwellers Heart of Lions 2-1 at the Hohoe Stadium on Saturday.

Heart of Lions looked set to get their first win of the season after putting up a spirited performance, but however, Samuel Agbenyega’s 71st minute goal was not enough to shift the Kpando side to a path of equalizing in the final minutes of the game as Bechem held on to their two goal lead to secure all three points at stake.

The Hunters put an early pressure on the home team as danger man - Augustine Okrah brilliantly dummied home to score the opener in the nineteenth minute before teenage midfielder Gabriel Tenlep added another in the 58th minute to secure the victory for the away side.

Bechem United have now stomped to the 6th position of the table with 16 points, while Heart of Lions are still capo-ing the bottom place of the eighteen-team league with 7 points.
