Karela United added an extra slice of firepower at home as they beat table-toppers Aduana Stars 2-1 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Saturday afternoon of match-day 11 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Fire Boys' trainer Yaw Acheampong saw his men’s five game unbeaten streak coming to a shattering halt as the Pride and Passioners romped over them.

Enterprising Karela United forward, Samuel Attah Kumi scored the opening goal for the home side in the 35th minute before his fellow marksman - Evans Adomako added the second twenty-five minutes later.

However, Aduana Stars were relentless, zooming into an expedition in search of the equalizer as super sub - Gabriel Akwasi Mensah climbed off the bench to pull one back in the 78th minute for the away side.

The result sees Karela move up to twelfth place and give them motivation ahead of their round 12 clash with Nations FC at Abrankese on November 27.

Aduana on the other hand are still manning the top of the summit with 21 points.
