On Wednesday, Berekum Chelsea and Aduana Stars faced off in a Ghana Premier League match that ended in a thrilling manner, with both teams scoring late goals to end the game in a draw.
The two teams battled for points in Week 24 of the ongoing 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season at Golden City Park on Wednesday afternoon. Although both sides had several chances to score in the first half, they were unable to convert any of them, resulting in a tied score going into halftime.
In the second half, Aduana Stars, who are currently leading the league, stepped up their efforts to score. Despite numerous attempts, they were finally able to break through with just three minutes left in the game. Douglas Owusu's goal put Aduana Stars within reach of victory, but it was not to be.
Berekum Chelsea's Mezack Afriyie had other plans and scored a crucial goal in injury time to level the score, resulting in a 1-1 draw.
The draw means that Aduana Stars' lead at the top of the Ghana Premier League table has been reduced to just one point.
