Asante Kotoko once again failed to extend their lead after losing painfully to Berekum Chelsea by 0-1 in a crunchy week 30 clash at the Baba Yara Stadium 

The league leaders commenced very well and made their first incursion after just a minute from kickoff but the Cameroon connection didn't work this time as Mfegue's cross to locate Mbella was cleared out by the visitors.

Berekum Chelsea were reduced to ten men on the 67th minute following the exit Osei Owusu after it was reported to have punched an opposing player.
 
Kotoko looked dominant in the game entirely, doing all the attacks but finding the back of the net was their major canker.
 
The Bibires finally broke the deadlock on the 79th minute through Kelvin Obeng leaving the Kumasi fans in total surprise.
 
Despite series of attempts from the homesters in search for the equalizer, it ended in favour of Berekum after full time.
