Berekum Chelsea started their 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season's campaign with a 2-0 home win over King Faisal on Monday afternoon.

The last fixture of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League match-week was played at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa following the disapproval of the Berekum Chelsea's home venue Golden City Park by the Club Licensing Board.

 
Berekum Chelsea looked dangerous in the early minutes of the game as they staged an intense pressure on the visitors to concede in the opening minutes.

Ten minutes after the recess, former Young Apostles FC talismanic striker Awuah Dramani doubled the score for Berekum Chelsea to give them a comfortable lead before the hour-mark.
 
Berekum Chelsea attackers were looking for more goals as the kept tormenting the back line of King Faisal in the last twenty minutes of the game.
 
Midfielder Collins Ameyaw nearly registered his name on the score sheet with an audacious strike but his effort was denied by the woodwork on the 68th minute of the game.
 
King Faisal failed to grab at least a consolation goal despite the few chances created in the last minutes of the game as it ended 2-0 in favor of Berekum Chelsea.
