King Faisal nipped on Enock Morrison's late penalty to hold Great Olympics to a pulsating 1-1 stalemate at the Baba Yara Stadium in GPL match-week 31
Coach Branko Bosovic with an unfamiliar line up here with lots of new guys on the part of the host but skipper Richard Akrofi was leading the backline so as Enock Morrison upfront. Attah Kusi also handed berth.
With Olympics, coach Annor Walker also with a line up dominated by new guys, handinh Prince Afrifa his second start of the season.
King Faisal FC as usual commenced the game on a higher note, posing more threats on the visitors trying to unsettle them in early stages.
Great Olympics looked slow initially but came on explosively few moments after which eventually got them the opening goal on the 25th minute through Ibrahim Sulley.
Back from recess, the homesters came really stronger and nearly got the equalizer but Samuel Kusi's effort only resulted into side netting.
Baba Yahaya came on with so much pace and skill causing so many havocs to the visitors but Enock Morrison always struggles to connect his set ups.
King Faisal were finally awarded a penalty on the 84th minute after Sam Ortiz was pushed down in the box for a penalty.
There was a serious protest from the visitors who were not willing to allow the kick to be taken since they believe the penalty call was a dubious one.
Everything was finally sorted and Enock Morrison stepped and scored the spot kick on the 90+9 minutes. It ended 1-1 after full time.
