FC Samartex continued their home invincibility record with a massive win over Legon Cities on Wednesday evening.

FC Samartex maintained their spot in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League top four with a 3-0 victory over Legon Cities in the match-week eight fixture at the Nsenkyire Stadium in Samreboi.

 

The Timber Giants displayed a five-star performance in the early minutes by registering the opener through Emmanuel Mamah in the 10th minute after a solo run to struck the ball past goalkeeper Winfred Honu.

 

Legon Cities were under intense pressure in the first half but they stood resolute to avoid conceding mroe goal before the break.

 

FC Samartex doubled their lead through Emmanuel Keyekeh with a long-range strike in the 54th minute of the game before Michael Ephson climbed off the bench to complete their win, twenty minutes later.

 

Substitute Michael Ephson needed just three minutes to announce his presence to register his name on the score sheet for FC Samartex in the 74th minute.

 

FC Samartex have now moved to third spot with 13 points while Legon Cities occupies seventh position with 11 points after match-week eight.
