Samartex FC have climbed to the top of the league table after recording a 2-0 win over Dreams FC at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex in a tough GPL week 5 tie. 

Samartex FC started with a very youthful side that had Evans Osei-Wusu, Baba Hamadu Musah, captained by experience Emmanuel Keyekeh with goalkeeper Kofi Baah in post and more.

Coach Karim Zito made three changes today from the team that played in the midweek against Nsoatreman FC, with players like Solomon Agbasi, Godfred Atuahene, skipper Abdul Jalilu all maintaining starting spot.

The home team opened the scoring account in just ten minutes from kickoff through Baba Hamadu Musah who headed into the net from Samuel Tetteh's cross.

Dreams FC subsequently found their pieces in the game and dominated in terms of possession at some point but were struggling to unlock the host defence.

In the second half, both sides resumed on a lower note without any threats posed at each other in the opening minutes.

The 'Still Believe' lads exerted in so much skill and energy in a quest to getting the leveller but the few opportunities that fell on their path all proved futile.

However, Dauda Seidu doubled the lead and struck the last nail to the coffin with his stunning finish in the 92nd minute of the game.

The homesters at some point in the game had to stay in defence more and watch their opponents have more of the ball in order to preserve their lead which was achieved successfully.

It finished 2-0 for Samartex FC after full time and have moved to the summit of the league log with nine points.
