A 25th minute goal by Godwin Segla was enough to earn WAFA a share of the spoils as they were forced to come from behind to draw level with visiting Bechem United in their match-week 31 fixture played this afternoon at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.

Bechem United had the perfect start to the afternoon thanks to Foster Appiah’s goal, just eighteen minutes into the game but Godwin Segla leveled proceedings for the ‘Academy Boys’ in the 25th minute to send the game into a one all tie at the half.

Bechem United went on the ascendancy after recess; enjoying a better part of the exchanges and it came as no surprise when they tried in taking the lead on countless occasions as defenders nightmare - Emmanuel Avornyo intensified his striking prowess upfront during the dying embers of the game to break down WAFA’s defence, which resulted into nothing at the end of 90 minutes.

Bechem has now dashed back into the second spot as league leaders - Asante Kotoko opened a comfortable 9 point lead atop the leaderboard with their victory against Medeama at the Akoon Park this afternoon whilst the the Academy Boys still tied to the 17th spot of the log on 29 points.
