Evans Owusu’s second half goal saw Bibiani Gold Stars beat Samartex 1-0 at Dun’s Park to end their run of two league games without a win.
The visitors got off to the perfect start in the early minutes, when they tried opening a quick fire but it was thwarted by the timely intervention of the Gold Stars defence.
The hosts found their rhythm in the second half in search of a goal, but they nipped in the stunner, which later panned out as the only goal of the match in the 70th minute through Evans Owusu, after pinning down a cross to notch home and stun Annor Walker’s side.
Michael Osei’s’ men move above the Timber Giants (11th with 30 points) into fifth in the Premier League log.
