Bechem United continued their title hunting with a 2-0 victory over Samartex at the Nana Gyeabour's Park on Sunday afternoon.
Lynchpin Hafiz Konkoni opened the scoring for the Hunters in the 23rd minute, before Samartex bundled home an own goal in the 79th minute to ensure that the three maximum points doesn’t cross the gate of the Hunters den as Bechem racked up 48 points to continue sitting second of the Ghana Premier League summit. Samartex slipped to the 9th spot with 39 points.
The result leaves Kassim Mingle needing just four more victories to surge past table toppers Aduana and claim a maiden premiership title in Ghana football.
