Young attacker Isaac Mensah came close to open the score for the host on the 19th minute but his strike from a low-cross delivered by Ibrahim Salifu went off target.
Hearts of Oak attacking duo Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Isaac Mensah combined with Gladson Awako with a fearsome attack after the half-hour mark but goalkeeper Felix Kyei calmly fisted it out.

In the second half, Karela United warmed themselves into the fixture to operate on the flanks with Evans Adomako and Matthew Kelvin Andoh.
Karela United were resolute at the back as well to deal with every inroads from the upfront of Heart of Oak.
