Legon Cities FC preserved their one-goal lead to narrowly edge Dreams FC by 1-0 at the El-Wak Stadium in Ghana Premier League match-day seven.
The Royals started the game on a blistering note and had some decent opportunities fell on their path in the early stages notably Albert Yeboah's eighth minute but was wide for a goalkick.
Albert Yeboah continues to torment the visitors defence and eventually won Legon Cities a penalty on the 17th minute but was missed by Kwabena Boateng.
Dreams FC subsequently picked and also made some attacks and nearly pulled a surprise on the 25th minute but a great block from Frank Akoto rescued the situation for the host.
Just eight minutes later, Kwabena Boateng himself after pouncing on a clanger from goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi to snatch the opener.
The visitors nearly responded quickly but a great stop from goalkeeper Kwame Aziz saved the host and preserved their lead.
In the second half, the 'Still Believe' lads resumed on a good note and came close to getting the leveller once again on the 55th minute but Kwame Aziz to the rescue again to deny Kwame Adade.
Frank Antwi came close to doubling Cities lead but his effort was parried away to a wasted corner kick.
Dreams FC didn't give up and gave their all but couldn't find the back of the net as it finished 1-0 after full time.
