Legon Cities secured their second win of the season with a clinical 2-1 victory over Aduana Stars at the El-Wak Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Paa Kwasi Fabian had his men fired up to quench every trace of Fire in the Aduana Starts team as they were subjected to a classical play of football.
Defender Nicholas Mensah opened the scoring for the Royals just nine minutes into the match as he jinked to fire an unstoppable drive into the net of the opponent’s.
However, Isaac Mintah scored pulled the equalizer for Aduana in the 25th minute.
A moment of madness certainly set the tone for the home side to score their second goal in the 54th through Samuel Armah who strucked beautifully his penalty which steered home swiftly to win it for Legon Cities.
Frank Antwi scored an 80th minute goal but was scrapped off by the centre referee, making the final score line to end at 2-1.
Cities are now third with six points on the league table whiles Aduana have downtrodden downwardly to the eleventh spot with three points.
