Samartex produced a spirited performance to hand Bechem United their second Ghana Premier League defeat of the season, having put up a gutsy display to pluck down the Hunters to a 4-1 defeat at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
Bechem United visited the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday afternoon, having scored just a goal in their last match here.
As Bechem United raced to a 1-0 lead through Augustina Okrah, as he caved open the Timber Giants defense.
However, Okrah’s goal was short-lived as the home side’s Evans Osei Wusu fired the equalizer with a penalty six minutes later - thanks a blunder from the Hunters that brought about the penalty.
Now protecting their lead, the Timber Giants midfield fed the electric Emmanuel Keyekeh, who was too fast for the visitors defence to score the third goal in the 65th minute mark.
The Timber Giants maintained their dominance, nodding home their fourth through Musa Baba in the 76th minute as they eased to a grandstand victory at home.
