Legon Cities have secured a back-to-back victories in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season after defeating Real Tamale United on Sunday afternoon.
Real Tamale United suffered a painful 1-0 home loss to Legon Cities in the match-week three of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.
The first half of the game was barren as the two teams possessed the game in the middle with few chances created but all efforts went futile.
In the second half, Legon Cities enjoyed majority of the possession to open the score through Nasiru Moro on the 54th minute of the game.
Moro brilliantly snatched the opener for the Royals with a cool finish which eventually became the match-winner for Legon Cities to hand them two consecutive wins in Tamale after defeating newcomers Tamale City last weekend.
A 70th minute penalty awarded to Real Tamale United was squandered by David Abagna Sanda after his kick was brilliantly fisted out by goalkeeper Sylvester Sackey.
Real Tamale United remains winless in their last three Premier League games after losing to Medeama SC and sharing spoils with FC Samartex in the league opener.
