Heart of Lions were held to a 0-0 draw by Great Olympics on Sunday afternoon at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.
This match which was tagged as an highly anticipated fixture as Heart of Lions was looking to send a message to the other GPL clubs by pulling off a shocking victory against Oly Dade which later panned out impossible.
Both side’s came away with goalless draw results last week and were looking to rebound and add some momentum with a win. Fortunately the Lions were able to protect their home turf with a scoreless draw.
However, Lions had a few close shots but couldn't put the ball in the back of the net.
Olympics was lucky to come away with a point. They survived a chunk of scares but didn't have many chances of their own on offense.
Heart of Lions are 15th with two points on the league log whilst Great Olympics are 14th, also with two points.
