Goals from Jonathan Sowah and Vincent Atingah sent Medeama to a convincing 2-0 victory over Samartex at Akoon Park on Sunday.
Medeama capped off an inspired second half as they dazzled up front by whining and frolicking with the Samartex defense as deadly wizardry striker - Jonathan Sowah kept tormenting them.
The former Danbort striker - Sowah, eventually got the breakthrough as he put the home side ahead in the 50th minute before Atingah doubled the lead after chipping a penalty straight into the roof of the net in the 68th minute to seal victory for the Yellow and Mauves and move them up to eight in the table.
Samartex lacked a real presence in attack for the majority of the opening and second hour. The Timber Giants failed to reduce the deficit and are now sitting 14th with 20 points on the log.
