A late stunning strike from Abdul Manaf Umar secured Real Tamale United an important home win over Hearts of Oak at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

Hearts of Oak suffered their third defeat in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season to the ‘Pride of the North’ in the match-week 16 clash on Sunday evening.

 
Real Tamale United inflicted a 1-0 defeat on the Phobians to return to winning ways after suffering a heavy loss to Bechem United on Wednesday.
 
Hearts of Oak enjoyed majority of the game possession with most of the goal glaring opportunities falling for the Phobians but their attempts in the first half went futile.
 
Striker Kwadwo Obeng Junior fluffed the first chance that appeared in the game for Hearts of Oak on the 8th minute of the game.
 
Real Tamale United calmly warmed themselves into the fixture to possess the ball in the middle but the their dominance lasted for few minutes as Hearts of Oak regained possession to pile up pressure on the hosts.
