Medeama SC defeated Dreams FC 2-1 at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday night to emerge champions of the 2023 'Champion of champions.' 

The two sides didn't start really well, with no any dangerous incursions as they all struggled to combine passes together.

Newly-invited Black Stars forward Jonathan Sowah opened the scoring account on the 19th minute to put Medeama SC.

Just four minutes on, Sowah scored again with a screamer to double their lead and took total control of the game.

Dreams FC came close to scoring on the 41st minute, John Antwi turned on nicely and targeted the bottom corner with a hit but was gathered by Felix Kyei.

The 'Still Believe' lads with another opportunity just two minutes after, but John Antwi once again had his header missed the post by inches.

In the second half, Karim Zito's men lifted the ante and pushed lots of men forward in search of the opener but all proved futile.

Medeama SC were displaying some sumptuous display of football with so much ease as they look to preserve their lead.

Dreams FC pulled one back from a penalty kick and was converted by Agyenim Boateng on the 78th minute to reduce the deficit.

It ended 2-1 for Medeama SC after full time and are the 2023 'Champion of champions.'
