Berekum Chelsea continued their impressive campaign in the Ghana Premier League by securing fourth consecutive win against Legon Cities on Sunday afternoon.
A 98th minute strike from Patrick Kofi Ansu ensured Berekum Chelsea to extend their dominance over Legon Cities at the Golden City Park.
The last three meetings of the two clubs in Berekum since has ended in victories for Chelsea and today's narrow win gives them the fourth to move up to third place on the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League log after match-week 11.
The first half of the match couldn't produce any goal after a spot-kick awarded to Berekum Chelsea in the 21st minute was brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Kwame Aziz.
Skipper Stephen Amankona failed to open the scoring from the spot after his kick went straight into the palm of Aziz to keep the game at a scoreless draw for the first 45 minutes of the game.
In the second half, Coach Christopher Ennin's side produced a five-star performance against Legon Cities by securing all the three maximum points with a last-gasp goal from Patrick Kofi Ansu, who had been introduced into the game as replacement for Stephen Amankona.
