Bechem United breezed past a tamed Legon Cities side to win 1-0 in match day 31 of the Ghana Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Clinton Duodu and Latif Anabila have both been blazing spots for their side lately, but were unable to work their opposition goalkeeper with their early incursions after carving out half tormenting chances.

In the 35th minute the Hunters finally showed quality in their well laid passes with some refreshing build up play that culminated in a magnificent screamer from Emmanuel Avornyo, as he fired home a peach of a Boabeng Fiema monkey sanctuary rocky-like strike right outside the box.

The Hunters dominance continued after recess but Cities on a couple of occasions weaved their way into Bechem’s box but the home side’s defense cut them to their size as they kept quashing any equalising plots.

Bechem secured their fourth win from eight matches, whilst Cities have also won four and lost four in their last eight games.

With today’s win - Bechem are still occupying the second spot on the log with 51 points, just a point behind leaders Aduana Stars. Legon Cities are cusp on the 10th pecking with 40 points.
