Aduana’s march up the table continues as the Ogya Boys have been pegged with the same point by second placed Samartex.

It looked like business as usual when winger Abdul-Shakun Abubakari came off the bench and slotted home to give Lions an unlikely victory in the 90th minute, albeit in surprise circumstances after a lazy assist from Abass Samari as he stunningly passed to the striker.

It was a deserved three points for the capital side against a not-too-focused Aduana Stars side.

Without Daniel Afful between the sticks, it could have been a disaster for Ibrahim Tanko’s side. The teenage shot-stopper rose to the occasion to make some swift vital saves.

Aduana are still sitting top of the table with 21 points in the Ghana Premier League while Accra Lions moves to the 12th position on 16 points, four points clear of the drop zone.
