Nsoatreman FC were to held a score-less draw for the first time at home in the ongoing season by Heart of Lions on Sunday afternoon.
Coach Maxwell Konadu's side hopes of clinching the top spot was denied by the Premier League returnees when their match-week 12 clash at the Nana Kromansah Park in Nsoatre ended in a 0-0 draw.
A win over Heart of Lions would have seen Nsoatreman FC leapfrogging Aduana Stars, who suffered a defeat to Accra Lions in Dormaa, from the top before the next round of games.
The first half of the match looked balanced, producing no goal with few chances created by the two teams.
Ten minutes after the break, Heart of Lions took over possession and came close to open the scoring through Kwesi Pong but his effort missed the target narrowly.
Nsoatreman FC also came close but the back line of the visitors denied them from causing any havoc and their intense pressure resulted Bismarck Anim's red card.
Heart of Lions were reduced to ten men when Bismarck Anim received a red card for unsportsmanlike behavior in the 73rd minute of the game.
Despite playing over fifteen minutes as a manless side, Heart of Lions held on to a dull draw at the Nana Kromansah Park against Nsoatreman FC.
