A severely depleted Karela United side welcomed Bechem United to Aliu Mahama Stadium looking to get back to winning ways following their loss in last weekend’s outing in the Ghanaian top tier League.

Bechem United arrived having gone toe-to-toe with Bibiani Gold Stars in their last game. Bismark Kobby-Mensah was able to field a fairly strong starting XI.

Emmanuel Avornyo put the Hunters ahead after just 17 minutes before Augustine Okrah added the second (50th’) and third (60th’) goals respectively, before Emmanuel Annor rifled home nicely in 90 '+3 minute to complete an emphatic 4-0 win for Bechem United.

In truth, it was an unfortunate defeat and a bitter birthday present for coach Shaibu Tanko - who celebrated his birthday barely 48 hours ago. They didn’t really create chances while Bechem dominated throughout and finished the game with four goals, racking up the three points.

Bechem have climbed up to the 5th position on 20 points, while Karela have dropped in the relegation pecking (16th) with 12 points.
