At the Dun’s Park 7th placed AshGold failed to return to the winning column following three straight outings that yielded one win and one tie and a loss after they were held to a two all tie by hosts Bibiani Gold Stars.
The 2-2 tie earned Gold Stars the 9th spot on the log on 46 points and also secured them a spot in the 2022/23 competition.
AshGold however has the seventh spot with 47 points on the log as a player from their fold wins the Goal King of the season gong in the person of deadly Yaw Annor after scoring an impressive goals.
Yaw Annor shot the ravenous Miners into the lead courtesy of a 23rd minute goal. Annor went ahead to struck another right on the 45th minute to give his side a comfortable lead before halftime.
Joshua Akoto equalized for the Gye Nyame lads courtesy of a 87th minute spot kick.
Gold Stars mounted a fruitful challenge in a bid to level up the scores which eventually happened in the 90+5’ minute through Joshua Akoto to salvage a point for the home side.
