In match week 26 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League, FC Samartex 1996 secured a 1-0 victory over Accra Lions with a late goal at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday.
The win at home helped coach Annor Walker's team maintain their 9th position on the league table with 36 points, while the visitors held on to their 7th position with 39 points. Accra Lions, who have not won a game in their last four outings, frustrated the hosts in a goalless first half in Samreboi.
However, Dauda Yussif Seidu's last-minute winner sealed the game 1-0 for Samartex.
The visitors will be disappointed that they could not hold on for a point, extending their winless run to five games.
Samartex 1996 will travel to Dawu to play against Dreams FC as guests at the Theater of Dreams on Friday, April 21, in match week 27 of the ongoing league campaign.
Meanwhile, Accra Lions will host Medeama SC at the Accra Sports Stadium on the same day.
