Medeama SC gaffer, Ibrahim Tanko has expressed strong dissatisfaction towards his side’s inability to pick maximum points over the weekend against FC Samartex but assured they will make amends in subsequent matches.
The Timber Giants nearly handed the Mauves and Yellows their first home defeat of the season but unfortunately it finished 1-1 after full-time in what was a very thrilling and tricky match day six fixture for both teams.
Awuah Dramani scored a Puskas-contender goal having struck from the center-half of the pitch straight into the net to put FC Samartex ahead in the 39th minute mark.
However, with just a minute plus additional time to wrap things up in Tarkwa, Medeama SC finally got the equalizer courtesy Kingsley Braye who arrived late in the box to tap in from a close range after a huge scramble.
Speaking in TV3’s post-match interview, the ex- Black Meteors coach wasn’t happy at all with the outcome and rued wasting chances as the main reason
“The first half was not really good. We didn’t keep the ball well but we were better in the second half, we created chances but couldn’t make good use of them.
“Awuah scored a nice goal, saw our goalkeeper was out and caught him by surprise. They didn’t create much but made good use of that one.”
Medeama despite the draw remain on top of the Premier League log with 13 points and will welcome newbies Swedru All Blacks in match-day 7 of the Ghana Premier League.
