Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko says midfielder Salim Adams deserves a call-up to the Black Stars after his strong performances in the Ghana Premier League.
The 23-year-old has been in fine form this season, scoring five goals in 19 league matches for the Yellow and Mauve, who are pushing for a second league title.
Adams joined Medeama from New Edubiase United at the start of the 2025/26 season and has quickly become a regular player under Tanko.

His form has caught the eye of fans, with many calling for him to be included in the national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
“It’s no secret that Salim is doing well and scoring some fantastic goals,” Tanko said. “With the Black Stars technical team closely monitoring the league, I’m sure he is going to get his chance in the team.”
Adams has already played at national level, making two appearances and scoring once for the Black Meteors (Ghana’s Under-23 side).
He first came into the spotlight in 2021 after moving from New Edubiase United to Hearts of Oak. During his time there, he also gained experience abroad with a loan spell at FC Cincinnati 2 in the United States.
