Aduana FC striker Mezack Afriyie has sustained a fresh injury in a very crucial moment of the season and could be out for almost two months, the club has officially confirmed.

The 22-year-old forward will be sidelined for close to six weeks after suffering a fibula fracture at training. The club confirmed on Facebook

“We can confirm that Mizack Afriyie has suffered a fibula fracture during training. Medical examinations indicate he is expected to be sidelined for approximately six weeks. Setbacks are set-ups for comebacks — Mizack, stay strong. We’re all behind you.”

Afriyie, joined Aduana Stars in prior to the start of the ongoing 2025/26 campaign from Berekum Chelsea and has been a key part of the team’s attack this season.

He has scored 1 goal in 20 league appearances so far and has always been an integral member of the team and definitely his absence will really be felt by the team.

Aduana FC are still in the league title race as they currently occupy the fourth spot with 37 points and are now seven points behind the title and also in the quarter-final of the FA Cup.
