Medeama SC midfielder Salim Adams says he is fully ready to play for Ghana after dishing out a superb run of form in the Ghana Premier League.

The 23-year-old has been one of Medeama’s consistent players this season, notching five goals in 19 league matches as the Yellow and Mauves chase a second league title. Since joining Medeama at the start of the 2025/26 campaign, Adams has become an important part of coach Ibrahim Tanko’s team.

His performances have led to growing calls from fans for him to be invited to the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

“It’s positive for me,” Adams said when asked about the calls for his inclusion. “This shows I’m doing well, so I have to keep pushing. I’m 100 percent prepared for a Black Stars call-up.”

Adams has already had a taste of international football, having played twice for Ghana’s Under-23 side and scoring one goal.

He first made a name for himself in 2021 after moving from New Edubiase United to Hearts of Oak. While with the Phobians, he also gained experience abroad during a loan spell with FC Cincinnati 2 in the United States.
