Ghana coach Chris Hughton has included Medeama SC striker Jonathan Sowah in the Black Stars squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Central African Republic.
The talented centre-forward is the only player in the Ghana Premier League named in the 25-man squad list announced by the Black Stars coach on Saturday afternoon.
Sowah was included by the Black Stars technical handlers following his explosive performance in the Ghanaian Premier League and his sterling output in Medeama SC's Champions League campaign.
Ghana will be battling it out with CAR on September 7 in the final game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations group E at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Ghana need just a point to secure qualification to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations slated for January to February 2024 in Ivory Coast.
