Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko says his side fully deserved to win the Ghana Premier League title and dismissed suggestions that their success came by luck.

The Medeama boss praised the efforts of everyone at the club, including the players, management and technical staff, after securing the league title.

“Winning the Ghana Premier League gives a very good feeling. It doesn’t come by fluke. We worked hard for it,” Tanko told Medi TV.

“The whole team, the president, the board, the management and the technical team, together with the players, I think we have done a good job. I congratulate all of us.”

Tanko made the comments ahead of Medeama’s Matchweek 34 clash against Hearts of Oak on Sunday, May 24.

The Yellow and Mauves head into the final game of the season already confirmed as league champions after their impressive 5-2 victory over Heart of Lions last weekend.

The title triumph is Medeama’s second Ghana Premier League title and also secures the club a place in next season’s CAF Champions League.
