Dutch international of Ghanaian descent, Memphis Depay, has revealed plans to organize a friendly match between his club, Corinthians, and Asante Kotoko.

Currently in Ghana for the Christmas holidays, Depay is set to participate in several activities, including charity work. On Thursday morning, he visited Kotoko’s training grounds at Adako Jachie, where the team was preparing for their upcoming match against Bibiani GoldStars.

In a video shared on Asante Kotoko’s official channels, Depay was seen motivating the players and offering words of encouragement. He expressed his admiration for the team’s efforts and shared his plans for a friendly match between Kotoko and his Brazilian club, Corinthians.

“I like what I see and I encourage you to keep going. Never give up. I respect all of you,” Depay said. “I’m working on arranging something for the team, maybe a friendly match against my team (Corinthians) in Brazil. It’s in the plans, so let’s hope we can make it happen so you can showcase your talent.”

Asante Kotoko will face Bibiani GoldStars in matchday 15 of the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday.

Currently, Asante Kotoko are 5th in the league standings with 24 points from 13 matches, while GoldStars sit 2nd with 27 points.
