Asante Kotoko attacker Georges Rodriguez Mfegue Omgba has been declared medically fit for games for the club ahead of the 2022/23 season.

The Cameroonian star man returned to Ghana early August, 2022 to join the team after the 2021/22 season for their 2022/23 preseason campaign but had little or time at all to partake in their training.

The player had been on the medical table throughout the teams period in Sudan where they engaged Al Hilal Omdurman, Simba SC and Al Ahli Khartoum in friendly games in shaping up their arsenal for the upcoming season.

Mfegue Omgba will join the team training and start preparation for their first leg CAF Champions League encounter against RC Kadiogo after going through recovery work last week.

Georges Rodriguez Mfegue gave Asante Kotoko double figures in goals and assist last season which were crucial in the team ability to win the Ghana Premier League after eight years.

With new technical team at the helm of affairs after the exit of Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, he will have to impress Seidu Zerbo and his charges for selection in their game in Cote D'Ivoire on Friday.

Asante Kotoko will leave for Cote D'Ivoire on Wednesday, 7th September, 2022 for the game on Friday on 9th September, 2022.

The second leg will come off on the 18th September, 2022 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
