Newly-signed West Ham United player, Mohammed Kudus has expressed his joy over Ernest Appiah Nuamah move to French heavyweights Olympique Lyon.

The French Ligue 1 outfit on Wednesday, August 30, announced the loan signing of the former FC Nordsjaelland talismanic attacker from Belgian Jupilier Pro League side RWD Molenbeek.

 

Both Mohammed Kudus and Ernest Nuamah rose through the ranks the famous Right to Dream Academy in Ghana before moving on to play for FC Nordsjaelland.

 

Olympique Lyon official statement on Nuamah's one-year loan acquisition read ““Olympique Lyonnais is delighted with the signing of Ernest Nuamah, considered one of the future great hopes in his position, who will be the second Ghanaian footballer in the history of the club after Michaël Essien, his assistant coach at Nordsjaelland, between 2003 and 2005.”

 

Mohammed Kudus, who also completed a five-year move to English Premier League side West Ham United from Ajax earlier this took to his official twitter/X account to react to his Black Stars teammate switch to Lyon.

 

The two players are expected to be named in Ghana's squad for next month's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers final match against Central African Republic scheduled for September 7 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
