Golden Kick FC head coach Fiifi Parker Hanson has made it clear that his side is going into Sunday’s MTN FA Cup final with the goal of defeating Asante Kotoko within 90 minutes—but insists they are also prepared to go the distance if the match heads into a penalty shootout.
Speaking to Sporty FM ahead of the highly anticipated final at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, Hanson expressed confidence in his team’s mentality and preparation.
“We want to beat Kotoko in regulation time, but if it comes to a penalty shootout, we’ll be ready,” he stated.
Golden Kick FC have captured the imagination of fans throughout this year’s FA Cup with a remarkable run that saw them eliminate Premier League sides Karela United and Hearts of Oak. Now, they face a defining challenge against the record-winning Porcupine Warriors.
