With the 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League season reaching its conclusion, the Pride and Passion boss admits that grinding out results are now the most important thing.

Karela United head coach Abukari Damba was relatively satisfied with his side’s hard-fought 1-0 victory over Nations FC on the weekend.

While on paper Karela were clear favourites, they were made to fight for the three valuable points as they climbed to the 12th position of the GPL log thanks to Giyasu Ibrahim’s goal.

“I will congratulate my players for the effort. They showed great character amidst playing against a very difficult team to break down," Damba said in the aftermath of Saturday's gameweek 29 fixture.

“Nations are doing so well in the league. They have so much quality and play with momentum. They gave us a real tough time but my players stood up with the test” he added.

Next up for Karela is another tricky tie against Bechem United, and the 55-year-old is thinking about nothing more than grinding out a positive result against the Ahafo-based outfit.
