Nations FC head coach Kasim Mingle says that they may have lost the match against Karela United, but they dominated the Nalerigu based side when it comes to statistics.

Karela United defeated the Abrankese outfit 1-0 in a match that was played at the Naa Sheriga Sports Centre on Saturday.

Mingle insisted that his players must not be ashamed of their defeat. He said because they did not put up a bad performance.

“We went into the game with the mentality of holding onto the ball, possessing it and then, when the opportunity comes, we score," he said after the game.

“We dominated the game. We kept the ball as much as possible and then, took them on and moved. Unfortunately for us, most of our moves towards goal were flagged offside. You saw the penalty against us and the one we had. I won’t comment much about officiating,” Mingle added.

Despite the defeat, Nations FC are still bossing the second spot on the league log with 45 points.
