Asante Kotoko have expressed interest in highly-rated defender Razak Simpson in the next transfer window with his club Nations FC willing to let go, per reports.
Simson, who is currently one of the most experienced players in the league, has been with the Sky Blues since 2023 and has long established himself as one of the best in the country.
Simpson’s strong domestic form also earned him a call-up to the Ghana senior national team, the Black Stars, where he has featured five times. He marked his international debut with a goal in Ghana’s 4-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago during the Unity Cup in June.
Reports has it that, after his move to Hearts of Oak failed to happen, their arch rivals Asante Kotoko have also his strong admirers for a while and have seriously considered signing him to strengthen their defense.
While they will need him especially with captain not open to extension at the moment, Nations FC are also reportedly willing to sell as they also believe their skipper hasn’t been committed enough recently compared to previous seasons.
Razak Simpson has made ten league appearances so far this season for Nations FC and will be available against champions Bibiani GoldStars this weekend
