Yaw Preko, head coach of Nsoatreman FC has refuted claims that the departure of Eric Alagided is the reason the club is going through torrid times.

The young football administrator - who served as the General Manager of the Efiri Tete Amanaso has departed the club.

Nsoatreman's uninspiring performance continues in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign, having managed three wins, six draws and seven defeats after 16 rounds of matches. The Amanaso are 15th in the league standings.

Speaking in an Interview on Asempa FM, Preko was asked if the exit of Alagidede was the main reason for their current struggles, which he answered in the negative.

"Eric Alagidede was playing his part until his exit, and I am also playing my part, but I am making sure that on the field of play, his exit will not affect us.

"Our boss (Ignatius Baffour-Awuah) went to do a campaign and so we had not seen him for a long time but he is back. I know that he will inspire us.

"All is not lost, and like I said, we will get things working for us," he added.

Nsoatreman FC still lurks in the pale shadow of themselves and as the defending champions of the FA Cup, they were eliminated in the round 32 by Young Apostles on Sunday.

The Amanaso will host Karela United in a matchday 17 fixture of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday at the Nana Amoah Kronmansah II Park.
