Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, owner of Nsoatreman FC has backed and promised to support new head coach Yaw Preko.
The former Ghana Black Stars striker was unveiled as coach of the Nsoatre-based side on Monday, 8 July.
He replaces Maxwell Konadu, who left to join South African second-tier side, Black Leopards on a three-year contract.
Addressing the gathering at Preko’s unveiling, Baffour-Awuah highlighted the community's passion for football and encouraged Preko to cultivate a habit of making their home grounds a fortress and a tormenting hub to visiting team's.
“Coach (Yaw Preko), on your part, Nsuatre is a small community but our passion for the game is huge. Our people want you to have a winning mentality, winning away and at home,” he said.
“This is what we want from you. I am there to support you. Whenever there is a challenge, let me and my board know. We wish you all the best. We want to make an impact in Africa and thank you for accepting to work with us,” he added.
Under Yaw Preko’s tutelage, Nsoatreman will set out on their maiden campaign in the 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup, having scooped the Ghana FA Cup by beating regional rivals Bofoakwa Tano.
