Ghana Premier League outfit Nsoatreman FC have announced the signing of former Asante Kotoko forward Richmond Opoku in the ongoing transfer window.
The talented attacking midfielder has joined the Nsoatre-based club on a two-year deal after mutually terminated his contract with Asante Kotoko at the end of the 2023–24 season's campaign.
Opoku is expected to play a key role in the club's campaign next season, both domestically and in Africa.
“We have a contract agreement with Richmond Opoku, an attacker/midfielder to spice up our squad with his explicit skills and energy” the club wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Opoku left Asante Kotoko after being deemed as surplus to requirements by the club's technical handlers led by coach Prosper Narteh Ogum at the end of the season.
Nsoatreman will represent Ghana in the 2024–25 CAF Confederation Cup. They will face Elect Sport of Chad in the first round of the competition.
The preliminary round games has been scheduled for August.
