Nurudeen Amadu is set to be appointed as Karela United head coach, with talks progressing towards a deal being concluded imminently, followed by his unveiling this weekend. 

 

 

The experienced gaffer will sign a multi-year contract with the Ghana Premier League (GPL) club, and will replace Jimmy Corbblah. 

 

 

Amadu was previously in charge of FC Samartex 1996 were he led the club to win the 2023/24 GPL title, having previously managed Wa All Stars and King Faisal as well.

 

 

The Pride and Passion will now look to be consistent in the ongoing season with the coaching change, as they currently slumbers in the 16th spot in the league standings. 

 

 

As at the time of filing this report, Kickgh.com understands that Karela are prioritizing vast GPL experience, as they want a leader who could manage the locker room well considering the caliber of players on the roster.

 

 

Karela United will take on Nsoatreman FC in a matchday 17 fixture of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday at the Nana Amoah Kronmansah II Park.
