Heart of Lions forward, Kwadwo Obeng Junior, has dedicated his Man of the Match award to the President of his team, Dr. Randy Abbey.
The former Hearts of Oak ruthless poacher was the hero in their match against Asante Kotoko, where he notched the only goal of the match which earned Lions the three maximum points.
Obeng Junior's 28th minute goal, which was his first goal of the season' was a sweet one, after a blunder from Kotoko goalkeeper Mohammed Camara, having terribly cleared a ball that fell directly to Obeng Junior.
In his first words after the match, Obeng Junior dedicated his accolade to Dr. Randy Abbey, expressing his profound gratitude to him for giving him a chance to prove himself when others had sent him packing.
“I thank the management of Heart of Lions and dedicate my award to Dr. Randy Abbey. When I was rejected by some people, he saw the good in me and gave me a chance in their team,” he said.
Heart of Lions are now sixth in the league standing with 14 points. The Kpando side will host Berekum Chelsea in the Matchday 10 fixture on Sunday, November 10.
