Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have announced the capture of Young Apostles FC goalkeeper Benjamin Twum as their first signing of the second transfer window of the 2024/25 season.
The 19-year-old is joining the 'Kum Apem' lads on a three and half year deal after a fruitful negotiations.
Twum, for the past years has gained recognition for his impressive performances in the Ghana Premier League this season.
Known for his sharp reflexes, excellent positioning, and composure beyond his years, Twum is set to add youthful energy and promise to the Porcupine Warriors’ goalkeeping department which already has Black Stars goalie Benjamin Asare and Guinea's Mohammed Camara.
The lanky netminder played a very pivotal role last season to help Young Apostles FC secure their first ever topflight promotion especially in the playoffs against Techiman Heroes where his stellar display during the penalty shootouts conjured the magic.
Benjamin Twum was an integral member of the Black Satellites squad that finished as runners up in the recently-ended WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship where they painfully lost to Nigeria in the final.
