Ghana Premier League side Bibiani Goldstars have announced the club's decision to abrogate their contract with Michael Osei by mutual consent.

Bibiani Goldstars, on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 ended their contract with the experienced tactician amid the club's battle the avoid the drop zone.

The Miners have had a difficult campaign languish in the relegation zone of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season after match-week 13.

The Western North based outfit have endured a frustrating run of form, going nine matches without a victory, with the most recent being a 2-1 home loss to Nsoatreman FC last weekend.

During this period, they suffered three defeats and settled for six draws, leaving them in the 17th position with only 12 points.

Osei was asked to step aside from the club's head coach role and proceed on leave until further notice by the management of Bibiani Goldstars.

However, the club has decided to cit ties with Michael Osei to pave way for the appointment of new head coach to led Bibiani Goldstars in the remaining matches of the 2023/24 season.

Osei has been at the helm of Bibiani Goldstars since their promotion to the Ghanaian top-flight in the 2021-22 season has now been relieved of his duties.

In their debut season, Goldstars finished a respectable 9th in the league.

The following season, Osei guided the team to a commendable 5th place finish, accumulating 49 points across 34 matches.
